Twitter Tips 6: The Power of Multiple Accounts

How many twitter accounts you are using right now?

 

Having one twitter account that have huge number of followers is great but personally I prefer having multiple accounts and here are the reasons.

 

1.    1. Twitter is giving limitations for every account, like they are limiting the number of users you can follow per day and they also limit the number of users you can follow based on the number of users following you. Since one of the most effective ways to build followers is by following users first, those limitations will slow down the process. If you use multiple accounts, you can build followers and prospects much faster.

 

2.     2.  If you only have one huge twitter account and twitter suspended your account for unknown reason, all your followers will be gone and you will need to start from zero again. If you use multiple accounts, you will be building your list of prospects in many accounts, if twitter suspended one of them, it will not hurt you business that much.

 

3.      3. If you are promoting in different niches, it is easier to build authority on a certain niche if you are using different account for every niche. If you followed someone in Niche A and that user followed you back, posting tweet that are not related to Niche A might push him away or might ignore your future tweets. Personally, I'm building at least one twitter account for every authority niche websites that I have. Not just for twitter marketing but I believe that your website will become more likeable to search engines.
