We're starting the year in style with some exciting additions and improvements to Jetpack that we can't wait for you to try.

Customers on Premium and Professional plans now have immediate access to Jetpack Ads – a simple way to earn income from your sites – as well as a brand-new ad-free, high-quality video hosting service.

We've also included 14 new shortcodes for embedding content from third-party services like Google Docs, Spotify, and Hulu, as well as four new sidebar widgets for customizing your sites.

Note: This release includes an update to our Terms of Service which will take effect on March 1, 2017.

Coming soon to Jetpack!

The Jetpack team is already hammering away at the next Jetpack release, and we have a couple of features and improvements coming your way that we're excited about.

Based on your feedback and extensive research by our designers, we're currently focusing on how Jetpack settings are organized, grouped, and managed.

We're also including built-in support for Google Analytics! Of course, it was always possible to run Google Analytics alongside Jetpack, but our developers have been busy working their magic to make this easier to set up: particularly if you're not in your comfort zone editing site code.

Pro tip: Set up automatic updates.

With Jetpack, you're always updated to the latest version and can automatically update plugins.

Visit WordPress.com/sites and select your site from the list (if you have more than one), click on Plugins from the menu on the left, and choose the plugins you would like to update automatically. You can also apply settings in bulk across multiple sites.
